Marcos Santos apologies for the delay on our response, for issues on the API please use apis@globalfishingwatch.org as that account is monitored daily. In general we have requests about new fetures here in Canny. 
Regarding your request, the API dataset that you should always use to get latest information is public-global-fishing-effort:latest , using that it will always work.
