Justification: IMO PSSA is a legal instrument which can allow for establishing high seas ABMTs BBNJs. There are a short list of IMO management regs that can regulate shipping internationally - which applies to all vessel types, fishing, commercial otherwise, one of which is vessel speed.

Functionality on the map: combine the ability to summarize vessel activity within an area of interest with an overview of spread (histogram) of vessel speed. Include function to dynamic filter speeds i.e. I want to just see vessels travelling above 15 knots because this is when mortality rate of cetaceans is 95%. When applying the speed filter you can then see which vessels, which flags and which vessel types are represented.

Pipe dream function: include company level information (from IHS) on vessel so that this can then inform stakeholder consultation during preparation of PSSA dossier for case.
