I am Shantakar Mohanty, a student of MSc Geoinformatics at ITC, Netherlands. I have been trying to download historical AIS data from the Global Fishing Watch portal. While I have been successful in downloading the CSV data for my study region, the downloaded data lacks the Longitude and Latitude information of the vessels. The tutorial I followed on Global Fishing Watch's YouTube channel shows that the downloaded CSV data does contain the locational information for each vessel. I downloaded the Apparent Fishing Effort AIS data with the data download criterion shown in the attached screenshot. Please let me know how this issue can be resolved. Longitude and Latitude information is of paramount importance for my research.

Recommend removing list of summary events from the related vessels tab in vessel viewer. This information is not-relevant while reviewing vessel encounters and ownership information.

If it would be possible to add SAR coverage (number of acquisitions and or repeatability) of the AOI in the analysis this would enable a more precise understanding of the number of SAR detections identified. Peaks in detections may result from increased vessel presence, or from increased SAR coverage over the given time period. Also, having the SAR coverage is a useful metric to be able to pull out for reporting purposes.

Request to have the encounter events grouped in a way that the authorization status of the encounter events is visible. Maybe this could be incorporated in the insights tab instead of encounter events

Currently, the insights tab shows a bar graph for the number of vessels in each bin of AIS coverage (0-20, 20-40, etc). It would be great if there was a way to hover over or click on the number of vessels in each bin and get a list, so we can see which vessels in the group are in each bin.

As a researcher/investigator, I would like to be able to download >1 year data and for more than one shapefile/region at a time. This would help me save time when I am trying to download longer time ranges (e.g. 5 years, 7-8 years) and for multiple areas (e.g. all Natura2000 sites), it would also make it easier for me to bring together the data to analyse and compare.

It will be useful if users could filter by specific high seas pockets In my region its really useful if we can analyse high seas pockets individually as AOI. Epeli

It would be very nice if we can filter the SAR detections grid for the number of SAR detections. For example only showing the grids with more than x detections. This allows to identify potential fishing grounds where we have high number of detections aggregated in the grid.

Allow users to filter out buoys from vessel presence data

When studying the behavior of a fleet, I use the workspace to search and add AIS signals of interest. However, it is not possible to migrate the list of signals from the "workspace" to form a new or update a "vessel group". Would it be possible to add a download button that would allow you to obtain a file of all the signals in the workspace? With it would be easy to generate a vessel group. kindest regards Agustín
