We should show the exact timestamp and sensor type when you click on the icon for any remote sensing detection. It would also be nice to show thumbnails for all, not just optical. See the way skylight presents detections, I think they do a better job, at least for being useful in MCS.

I am looking for non-gear vessels flagged to a specific country and the advanced search does not allow to filter per geartype. Am I missing something, or is this a filter that could be implemented in the results page? Thanks!

Speed filtering for a vessel group can be done in a vessel presence layer but not in the vessel group layer. Recommend streamlining both options.

I wanted to flag something that partners, both technical (e.g., JAC) and country/agencies, really appreciate in the map, but I think could be improved. It is the ability to download polygons directly from the map, especially EEZs, MPAs, or custom drawn. Right now the only way to do it (as far as I know), is to download a data layer within the area or conduct a dynamic report and download within the report window. If you do this a .geojson of the polygon is included in the zipped output file. I often use this just to spit out a polygon for some other purpose. Most users don’t know this but really like it when they figure it out. I don’t know if there are restrictions with some of our sources for shapefiles/areas, but if it is possible to add a simply feature to just download the polygon directly (ideally with options for shapefile, kml, or geojson), I think a lot of users would see value in that.

Not sure if it's a bug or feature, but I get inconsistent behavior when trying to reorder custom uploaded layers in a workspace. some layers seem to be able to move wherever and others not. It would be great to have the ability to order them completely manually (even better if you could reorder manually with GFW layers as well, eg putting a custom layer on top, but understand that might be more complicated)

It would be helpful to be able to apply different point sizes directly to a layer, without the need to scale to a variable (maybe similarly thickness of a line). This can help a lot with visualizations when you want to emphasize certain things or provide some info more in the background/subtly. I currently use a workaround with a dummy variable of point size that works but is clunky.

Feedback Uploading points and changing their color related to metadata.

This feature can be useful for anyone who want to see multiple vessel tracks. In my case, I want to see vessel activity and where are the port origin and port destination. As now, the download feature has been developed, moreover it could be improved for tracking by vessel group so user can download easily, not one to one. My concern, I want to see the possibility from GFW platform to track illegal trading for palm oil over Indonesia. Thank you.

Current data provided in vessel track downloads are lon, lat, course, timestamp, speed and seg_id. It would be useful for some analysis to also include the vessels heading

It was pointed out by Spanish-speaking participants in a workshop that GFW translation of vessel class 'bunker' to 'Aprovisionamiento' is not very clear, because this could mean provisioning of many things, whereas bunker is understood to signify provisioning of fuel only.
